NikeID VR Studio: customizing the Roshe Two inside VR

Overview

Nike was one of our most innovative and daring clients. It asked for experiences that broke the mold, where innovation and experimentation were part of every brief.

These are some of the ones we built for Nike in Latin America.

NikeID VR Studio

NikeID customization, moved into VR at the first Kicks Lounge in Latin America.

Nike Chile was opening its Kicks Lounge in Santiago and needed to raise awareness for NikeID. We had one month until the store opened.

Inside VR, people customized four parts of the Roshe Two (upper, midsole, laces and Swoosh) with the same colors and materials as on nike.com. The studio was connected to NikeID, so when they finished they could order the pair they had designed and have it delivered to their home. We chose a contained space over open painting tools like Tilt Brush, because it was easier to connect to NikeID.

Victory Tour 21K

Face your 21K.

In 2016 Nike’s 21K in Argentina was for women only, and most runners were beginners. Thousands of them would run it for the first time.

At the kit pickup, a treadmill recreated six moments of the course: the start line, the first kilometer, halfway, the wall at 17K, the last kilometer and the finish. Each moment had its own light, sound, body facts and race tips, and the data helped each runner plan her race.

VaporMax launch

Feel the Air.

For the VaporMax launch, we designed an interactive installation for Nike’s largest store in Latin America.

Creation Lab

Dare to Create.

For Copa América 2015, Nike Football’s platform was Dare to Create. In the Creation Lab, players showed their skills with a ball inside a lit room, and the experience turned each movement into its own visual on a large screen. At the end, each player got that visual as an asset to share on social media.
